One of the jury’s top recommendations was to protect the dunes at Summerleaze beach. On the back of this, with the support of Cornwall Wildlife Trust, 2 Minute Foundation, Making Space for Sand and Bude Climate Partnership, the first meeting of a Summerleaze Dunes Group is taking place later this month.
Summerleaze Dunes urgently need some TLC. These vital natural defences shield us from rising sea levels and support a biodiverse coastal ecosystem. We need to protect them so they can protect Bude.
This is a fantastic opportunity (via the DEFRA-funded Making Space For Sand project) to create a Summerleaze dunes group. No skills needed. Just bundles of enthusiasm. OUR DUNES NEED YOU NOW!
